From compost often come strong, volunteer plants. This pumpkin vine was planted inside the yard at the foot of the bougainvillea. It promptly climbed up the vines and spread out along the wall and over onto the other side of the wall.
Hidden amidst the pumpkin leaves and the bougainvillea flowers is this medium sized pumpkin. We are waiting to see how big it will become. There is another smaller one hiding in a different location. Maybe this plant will make us a few more. Not all of the flowers are setting viable fruits.
