Not a routine medical checkup or just another visit to the dentist......a root canal! The words alone can make your knees weak. Good enough I was already sitting in my dentist's chair.
About 35 minutes later I was paying the bill (she had just put in a temp filling) and got another huge surprise! The total cost for the entire procedure is less than $125 American! My first root canal cost $500 about 10 years back. Go figure....
Did I tell you it was pain-free, during and after? It is no wonder that I love my Ugandan dentist. So this week we finish up the permanent filling and then do a cleaning. I'll be sparkly, smiley white when she is done. Well, the teeth will be. With all the dust here, I am just a gritty red-brown.
